Inspiring Youth Achievement are currently recruiting volunteers to join our Project Team. The following roles are available to apply for. These roles are for those based in Ghana.

Secretary 

The role of the Secretary will be:

  1. Liaise with the Directors with regards to arranging team meetings
  2. Minuting Team meetings
  3. Managing the INSPYA email account

The secretary will have the following skills:

  • Good communication, customer service and relationship-building skills
  • Teamworking skills
  • Organisation and time management skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Assertiveness
  • Flexibility
  • Tact, discretion and diplomacy
  • The ability to be proactive and use your initiative: to see what needs doing and to do it
  • The ability to use standard software packages (eg Microsoft Office) and to learn bespoke packages if required.

Social Media Team Member

We are currently looking for two individuals to join the social media team:

Members of the social media team will be responsible for:

  1. Implementing the social media strategy for INSPYA
  2. Maintaining the social media profiles of the organisation (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn)
  3. Creating engaging content for the social media profiles of INSPYA
  4. Ensuring that there are regular posts on all social media platforms (at least twice a week)
  5. Liaising with other teams members to obtain content for the social media platform

Members of the social media team will have the following skills and experience:

  1. Good communication, customer service and relationship-building skills
  2. Teamworking skills
  3. Organisation and time management skills
  4. Attention to detail
  5. Working knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn
  6. Be relatively active on social media
  7. Basic knowledge of social media planning Calendars

Publicity Team Member

We are currently looking for 4 members to join the Publicity Team

Members of the Publicity Team will be responsible for promoting INSPYA. They will be responsible for:

  1. Liaising with the Social media team to create engaging content
  2. Taking pictures of events, activities, etc to promote INSPYA and provide content for posting on social media
  3. Liaising with mentors and team members to obtain news stories and feedback from mentees to promote
  4. Maintaining the INSPYA website gallery page
  5. Report and liaise with the Publicity Officer
  6. Establish links with the local and national press to gain publicity for INSPYA.
  7. Research and use all potential promotional opportunities for INSPYA
  8. Produce regular press releases for the INSPYA newsletter and local media.
  9. Inform the local media of successes/ achievements.
  10. Collate an archive of all INSPYA media coverage.
  11. Prepare newsletters, flyers and posters
     

Members of the Publicity Team will have the following skills:

  1. Good communication, customer service and relationship-building skills
  2. Teamworking skills
  3. Organisation and time management skills
  4. Attention to detail
  5. Knowledge of local media.
  6. Knowledge of marketing and communications.
  7. Great organisational skills.
  8. Good listener and effective communicator.
  9. Approachable and friendly.
  10. IT skill would also be useful
     

Careers Coordination Team 

We are currently looking for two members to join our Careers Coordination Team.

An important part of our project is to provide our mentors with the knowledge and understanding of how to market the skills they have gained to employers. Members of our Careers Coordination Team will be responsible for:

  1. Developing an annual Career Events Plan
  2. Developing Career Events for mentors and University Students
  3. Liaising with employers, professionals and organisations and corporate bodies to deliver Career seminars
  4. Facilitating Career seminars 
  5. Preparing evaluation surveys to participants
  6. Sending background materials and pre/post seminar evaluation surveys to participants

Members of the Careers Coordination Team will have the following skills: 

  1. A proactive attitude, drive and enthusiasm to carry out projects
  2. The ability to build and maintain relationships
  3. Team working skills 
  4. Organisation and time management skills 
  5. Ability to use their own initiative
  6. Basic knowledge of Zoom (training will be offered)

Fundraising Team 

We are currently looking for four members to join our Fundraising Team

Members of the Fundraising Team will be responsible for: 

  • Inspire new supporters to raise money, while maintaining and developing relationships with existing supporters
  • Organise traditional activities, such as sponsored outdoor events and house-to-house collections of donated goods and money
  • Develop new and imaginative fundraising activities, many of which involve organising events
  • Develop and coordinate web-based fundraising
  • Manage and update databases to record donor contact and preference information
  • Liaise with the Directors in writing grant applications 
  • Research corporate organisations to approach for sponsorship
  • Oversee corporate fundraising

Members of the Fundraising Team will have the following skills:
